Bobby Lashley was recently released by WWE, which caused a lot of buzz on the internet. During his departure, he openly criticized the booking of WWE for him and friends like MVP. Now, the former WWE Champion has yet again expressed his disregard for the Stamford-based promotion for not reuniting the successful Hurt Business faction.
Speaking on K&S WrestleFest, The Almighty said that the decision of WWE not to reunite The Hurt Business never made any sense to him. He said that he and his friends in the faction were a mainstay during the pandemic era. Therefore, they deserved to be in the spotlight when the fans returned following COVID.
We got overlooked. That was a little bit of a spit in the face. I think we could have come back and done some big things together. They just didn’t want us. Different strokes for different folks. Different people like different things. When the regime changed, the regime wasn’t too high on me at all.

Moreover, even MVP recently took various shots at Triple H for pulling out the plug on the popular faction. In fact, the creative differences eventually became the reason for the sudden exit of Bobby Lashley from WWE. Nonetheless, there were some reports recently that highlighted that the latter might have signed with AEW to write a new chapter of his career.

"It was kind of a spit in the face. We were never in front of a live crowd. During the pandemic, a lot of guys sat at home, 'I'm not going to do this or that' and it was us saying, 'It's work. We're going.' We did… pic.twitter.com/10OiVuZ2PY
In addition to that, some rumors suggest that Tony Khan is planning to reunite The Hurt Business in AEW. To further heighten up that possibility, MVP recently made his debut in Khan’s promotion making it pretty clear that there are some visible plans for the reunion. It is going to be interesting to see how things are going to transpire for The Almighty from here on.
Booker T names a dream opponent for Bobby Lashley in AEW
There have been constant speculations about the debut of Bobby Lashley in AEW. Although it is rumored that The Almighty will be making his first appearance in the company in the next few weeks, there is still no confirmed update on his plans. Amid these speculations, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has named the dream opponent for the former champion in AEW.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame Podcast, Booker T named Brian Cage to be a perfect opponent for Lashley. He said that both the stars have a similar kind of stature that might be a sight to see for the fans. They can test their strength against each other in a good old-fashioned feud in AEW, averred the Hall of Famer.
Cage got the title, right? Throw him [Lashley] in there with Brian Cage. I mean, that’s a lot of beef. Both of those guys, they match very good together, right? Brian Cage likes doing dives as well. He’s a diver. That might be good. That might be the match. I booked it.

It was quite an interesting possibility suggested by the former World Champion. However, there are chances that The Almighty might face Swerve Strickland in his first bout in the All Elite Wrestling. The seeds of the feud have seemingly already been planted. Therefore, it looks like the possible way AEW might be moving forward.
