In an unexpected turn of events, it has been reported that Bobby Lashley‘s WWE contract is set to expire soon. The revelation was made by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful. Moreover, The All Mighty has also been removed from the WWE roster internally, per hashtag PWN. If that’s really it, the 48-year-old would be departing the company soon, unless the two sides reach a brand-new agreement.

The 8-time World Champion returned to WWE in 2018. He interrupted the musical performance of Elias on Raw after WrestleMania 34. During this tenure, Lashley made the most of it. He even captured the WWE Championship for the first time in his career when he trumped The Miz in the weeks leading to WrestleMania 37. MVP, who was Bobby’s greatest staunch, capsized The Dominator’s dwindling career for good measures.

Speaking of MVP, he’s also being said to be removed from WWE’s internal roster sheets. That pretty much sums it up. Not that long ago, they were spearheading a force to be reckoned with, known as The Hurt Business. However, for some reason, former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon decided to disband the stable. Back in June this year, MVP was asked by a fan on Instagram to bring the Hurt Business back.

However, Porter replied by saying that Triple H didn’t allow for it. With Bobby Lashley potentially bidding adieu to WWE and MVP on his way out too, three out of four members of The Hurt Business would be gone. Shelton Benjamin was axed last year, leaving Cedric Alexander as the lone survivor. Benjamin even dubbed not having the Hurt Business go toe-to-toe with Bloodline one of the biggest missed opportunities in WWE history.

Bobby Lashley’s association with The Pride didn’t live up to its hype

Last year, when Bobby Lashley joined forces with Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, a lot of fans got their hopes up. The trio started off hot, displaying that edge and savagery in their nuances. However, they never reached a point where they could establish themselves, akin to The Bloodline, the most dominant faction on SmackDown.

There were even talks of pitting the two factions against each other, but it never came to fruition. The Pride battled The Final Testament in a Philadelphia Street Fight at WrestleMania XL, where the babyfaces emerged victorious in a botch-laden match.

About a week later on SmackDown, Lashley apparently wrestled his last match. He lost a triple-threat showdown against LA Knight and Santos Escobar. Even though he wasn’t pinned, the former ECW Champion failed to advance in the tourney to determine Cody Rhodes‘ first challenger for the Undisputed WWE title.
