Additional footage of Miami Dade police detaining and almost arresting Tyreek Hill emerged on social media. The 3:30-minute-long clip, taken from one of the cop’s viewpoints, paints a better picture of what went down on Sunday morning.

After pulling Tyreek Hill to the side, the cops asked him for his driver’s license, which he handed over from inside his car. The Miami Dolphins wide receiver then closed the side window, but the cops did not appear satisfied and wanted to further question him.

Hill remained seated in the car while the cops tapped the window, demanding he keep it open. Then one of the cops grabbed the Super Bowl winner while he tried to get out and forced him on the ground, handcuffing him.

Hill smartly called his agent Drew Rosenhaus when the cops pulled him out and repeatedly yelled that the cops were arresting him. Moments later, the cop who knocked on the door window pounced on Hill and forced him to sit down on the pavement as the veteran wideout complained that he had surgery on his knee.

Shortly after, the Dolphins’ defensive tackle Calais Campbell arrived on the scene and asked the officers why his teammate was handcuffed by the police. Instead of explaining the situation, the cops asked Campbell to move his car because it was blocking the road while demanding his driver’s license. The video ended, but Campbell later testified that the cops cuffed him as well.

Tyreek Hill forcefully getting detained was unacceptable, claimed Drew Rosenhaus

Both Campbell and Hill were on their way to the Hard Rock Stadium to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In the game, the All-Pro receiver scored an 80-yard touchdown on a throw from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Then, in classic Tyreek Hill fashion, dished a new celebration. This time re-enacting the handcuff pose from earlier in the morning.

The Dolphins defeated the Jaguars 20-17, with Hill catching 7 passes for 130 yards and 1 touchdown. In the post-game presser, he addressed the elephant in the room and claimed he wanted to be a cop after retiring from football.

Later in the day, Drew Rosenhaus spoke with FOX News and claimed the cops’ behavior was completely unacceptable.

What happened today to Tyreek at the stadium is completely unacceptable. Tyreek did not deserve to be treated that way by the police involved. Tyreek’s legal team will be pursuing this matter on Tyreek’s behalf and I’m sure they will consider taking legal action.
Drew Rosenhaus said

The Miami-Dade Police HQ issued a notice that the officers involved in detaining Tyreek Hill were placed on administrative duties, pending the outcome of the internal investigation.
