Booker T reacts to Kylie Rae’s retirement

Kylie Rae announced her retirement from professional wrestling on Monday. The announcement came after she did not show up for her scheduled match. She was scheduled to fight Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo at IMPACT’s Bound for Glory.

Kylie Rae took to her Patreon page to announce that she is currently unwell. She also mentioned that she doesn’t see herself as a professional wrestler anymore. Rae even apologized for any pain and miscommunication that might have been caused due to Rae missing the PPV.  

Retirement at such an early age definitely shocked her fans as well as the pro-wrestling community. But they showered her with all the love and support.

When Kylie Rae announced her retirement, friends and peers showered her with support. One of them was WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. T had helped Rae in training at his promotion, Reality of Wrestling. While speaking at the Hall of Famer podcast, Booker T opened up about Kylie Rae’s decision to step away from the squared ring.

Discussing Rae’s training and gimmick, Booker T said, “she trained for like a minute and won the Diamonds Championship on her first night. She was so special as far as making fans feel a certain way.”

Booker T even mentioned that he personally wasn’t a fan of Rae’s gimmick. But the fans loved it. “I was like, ‘Don’t say nothing.’ If it’s working, let it ride.”

Booker T discussed that how she did not show up for AEW’s Fyter Fest. T had realized that something was wrong with her. He talked and brought her back on track. When she did not show up for Bound for Glory, T knew something was happening again.

This time Booker T could not gather the courage to talk to her. But he will sometime in the near future. He, just like all her fans, wishes for her safety and happiness.
