Ricochet’s last run in WWE saw him involved in a heated rivalry with Bron Breakker, who destroyed him in his final televised appearance. Many fans will say he didn’t accomplish what he was destined to. Therefore, it will be intriguing to see whether the former Intercontinental Champion manages to achieve more with the Jacksonville-based company.
Will Ospreay expressed his thoughts after Ricochet’s AEW debut at the AEW All In PPV
Will Ospreay and Ricochet have a history together in NJPW from their matches at the Best of the Super Juniors. The Aerial Assassin has voiced his dissatisfaction with his treatment in WWE on several occasions in various interviews. With the 35-year-old star finally debuting in the Jacksonville-based company, the new AEW Intercontinental Champ commented on it.
During the All In post-show media scrum, Ospreay was asked whether fans would see a match between him and Ricochet. The British star was excited but quickly calmed the horses and stated that he would have to earn it. He was genuinely happy about Ricochet’s arrival and was eager to see what he would do in AEW.
I mean, man's got to work for it though, like do you know what I mean? There's a long list of people that he's going to have to beat before he can call out the International Champion. He's shown up so I'd like to see what he's going to be doing here in AEW. I'm excited and I'm really, really happy for him. Will Ospreay at the All In post show media scrum
The 31-year-old wrestler battled MJF in a tenacious contest for the AEW Intercontinental Title at All In. Maxwell Jacob Friedman played the heel role perfectly, wearing an all-American outfit in London, which ultimately drew more heat from fans. They supported their hometown hero, and he didn’t let them down. Ospreay defeated the heel champion and became the new AEW Intercontinental Champion.
