Rafael Nadal hoped for a good Roland Garros but a difficult first-round draw saw him exit the tournament early. Despite, leaving the door open for a return next year, German legend Boris Becker believes the Spanish star will not play at the Roland Garros again.
Following Nadal’s draw with Alexander Zverev in the first round there was little hope the 37-year-old would beat the Russian. He had just returned from winning the Italian Open.

Yesterday, despite Nadal’s good display World No.4 Zverev was just too good for him. The 37-year-old had the chances to break Zverev, especially having to serve in the second set, and led 2-0 in the third set. But, he fell to a disappointing 6-3, 7-6(5), 6-3 loss in the opening round match of the French Open.
After the loss, Nadal revealed he had most likely played his final game at the Roland Garros, but he also left the door open for a return. But, Boris Becker believes he has played his final game and won’t be back at the French Open.
I believe that Rafa will still play the Olympics at Roland Garros. But I don’t think he’ll play the French Open again in 2025. Of course he has emotions and probably had a sleepless night because he didn’t know whether it would be the last time. He wanted to say goodbye well. Then his opponent was Zverev, against whom he can lose even on a good day. That’s why it was emotionally very difficult for Nadal.Boris Becker said via tennis365
Meanwhile, Zverev became the third player to beat Nadal at the Roland Garros, after Novak Djokovic and Robin Soderling.
Rafael Nadal confirms his Paris Olympics participation after early exit at the French Open
Rafael Nadal is still confident of playing at the Paris Olympics despite early French Open exit. The Spaniard still aims to remain competitive despite his body, age, and several injuries he is still recovering from.
He revealed that after losing to Alexander Zverev at the Roland Garros, he enjoys playing and having fun on the court.
It's difficult to say what's going on in the future, a big percentage that I won't be back but I can say 100 per cent I am enjoying playing and having fun. Maybe in two months I'll say it's enough, but it's something I don't want yet and I want to be back on this court for the Olympics.Rafael Nadal said addressing the reporters

Nadal will turn 38 in June and was hoping to remain in the second week of the Roland Garros to celebrate his birthday. But, he will now celebrate with his family after exiting the clay major event.
