English outlet The Daily Telegraph has reported that Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund are searching the transfer market for a left-back in the winter transfer window. As such, the German club want to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko in January. Zinchenko has called down the pecking order of Mikel Arteta and wants to leave the club as soon as possible.
Arsenal signed him for £30 million in the summer transfer window of 2022, and trusted him in the last two seasons. However, this season, he has been barely trusted, and hence his future is not quite certain at the North London club. He has struggled with his fitness issues, and the Ukrainian has not received confident game time this season.
He has appeared in eight matches this season in the Premier League, playing a total of 239 minutes. Zinchenko has not scored any goals so far in the Premier League 2024/2025 season. So, he wants to leave the club in the ongoing transfer window, and Arsenal will not have any problems letting the player leave for a new club. Multiple clubs are interested, and the Gunners would definitely hope to make profits.
Dortmund are leading the race as they desperately need a left-back. They have Ramy Bensebaini as the only option available in the left-back position, and signing Oleksandr Zinchenko will greatly assist them in fulfilling the vacancy. It remains to be seen if the Bundesliga club are successful in signing Zinchenko in the ongoing winter transfer window.
Benjamin Sesko wants to join Arsenal as soon as possible
Arsenal have been looking for high-profile strikers to solve their problems with goal-scoring and injury issues. They have kept tabs on Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig for quite some time. However, Give Me Sport has reported that the player is finally determined to join the Gunners as soon as possible.
Sesko has scored eight goals in 17 matches so far in the Bundesliga 2024/2025 season. Sesko’s goals scored per 90 minutes is 0.6. Moreover, his total G/A (goals + assists) is 10 for this season. His goal involvement equates to 0.75 per 90 minutes. His non-penalty xG per 90 minutes is 0.55. This puts Benjamin Sesko in the top 95 percentile of Bundesliga players.
He is one of the most known strikers in the world currently. Furthermore, Arsenal would greatly receive a boost in their consistent goal-scoring if they managed to sign him. They were very interested in him last summer, but failed to sign him at the end. Right now, Arsenal needs a prolific striker to challenge for the EPL title.
