Bundesliga: Borussia Dortmund vs RB Leipzig Player Ratings as Leipzig destroyed Dortmund to win 1-4

Borussia Dortmund vs RB Leipzig: Borussia Dortmund squared off against Leipzig at the Westfalenstadion in Matchday 28 of the ongoing edition of the Bundesliga.

Dortmund started the match on a high note was the dominant side for the first 20 minutes before conceding the 1st goal. Two 1st half goals from Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer saw Leipzig take a 2-0 lead at the end of 1st half.

In the 2nd half, Christopher Nkunku was able to extend the lead to 3 for Leipzig. Dortmund, however was able to pull one back courtesy of a header from Donyell Malen before conceding another goal scored by Dani Olmo with a screamer from outside the box.

Manuel Akanji (5.7/10): The Swiss centre-back also had a similar performance making a few blocks but could have a bit more composed and showed some solidity.

Emre Can (5.2/10): The German defender was poor in certain areas and it was his loss of the ball which brought the 1st goal.

Jude Bellingham (6/10): The English midfielder tried to create chances and made a few passes and carried the ball but could not bring anything effective.

Axel Witsel (5.8/10): The Belgian midfielder had a satisfactory performance making a few interceptions and tried to win back balls but was a bit sloppy at times.

Raphaël Guerreiro (5.7/10): The Portuguese left wing back made a few runs and played a few passes but could not bring anything effective.

Thorgan Hazard (5.6/10): The Belgian right winger had a very quiet game and could not get involved much in the attack apart from a few minutes in the beginning.

Erling Haaland (5.6/10): The Norwegian striker could not get involved much in the attack and was not fully committed to the game tonight.

Péter Gulácsi (7/10): RB Leipzig goalkeeper was very good tonight making some good saves and was pro active in front of the goal. However, he was scored passed once by Dortmund.

Willi Orban (7/10): The centre-back was absolutely solid in the back and did not allow the Dortmund attack to get through.

Josko Gvardiol (7/10): The Croatian defender was also very good tonight defensively making tackles and interceptions and helped the team play out from the back.

Mohamed Simakan (7/10): The French centre-back was very good in winning the ball back and making crucial tackles and played the game with composure.

Kevin Kampl (7/10): The German-Slovenian midfielder was very good on the ball and made some good passes to keep the Leipzig attack going.

Konrad Laimer (8.5/10): The Austrian midfielder had an absolutely tremendous game as he scored two goals in the 1st half and had a commanding performance in the midfield also assisting one.

Dani Olmo (7.8/10): The Spanish attacking midfielder was very crucial in the build ups for the goals and made some good passes and got into good areas. He scored the 4th goal of the match with a screamer from outside the box.

Angeliño (6.8/10): The left wing-back played some good long passes and made some good runs in the left flank. He also helped defensively as well.

Nordi Mukiele (7/10): The right wing back was very good both on and off the ball and made some good runs and also helped the team defensively as well.

André Silva (7/10): The Portuguese striker was very crucial in the build ups for the goals and was ever present in the front to lead the attack.

Christopher Nkunku (9/10): The French forward was absolutely fantastic tonight as he had an hat trick of assists and scored once in the match. He was absolutely stunning on the ball.
