“An all time stinker from Luka” – Boston Celtics destroy Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 to become NBA Champions
The 2023-24 NBA season has come to an end with the Boston Celtics claiming the title.
The Celtics dominated the Mavericks to win Game 5.
The Boston Celtics are the 2024 NBA champions! The C’s have successfully defeated the Dallas Mavericks to win their 18th title. To make it more special they did it on the anniversary of their last championship in 2008.
The Boston Celtics came prepared to take down the Dallas Mavericks as they dominated them since the tipoff. Boston gave the Mavericks a taste of their own medicine as they destroyed the visiting team. Mavericks were not able to take a single lead in the entire game.
While all of the Celtics chipped in for the win, the Mavericks, on the other hand, looked helpless. Luka Doncic scored 28 points but could not score when the team needed it. He also did not receive much help from his partner, as Kyrie Irving had a poor shooting night with only shooting 31% from the field.
Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with his 31-point double-double as Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White followed perfectly. The contribution from all the players allowed the Celtics to finish things off early and safely as the game ended at 106-88.

Coming from their historic win in Game 4, fans expected the Mavericks to give a tough time to the Celtics. However, they looked like a different team as they performed miserably. Hence, it was inevitable that the team and their main man Doncic would receive some backlash.

The 2023-24 NBA season has come to an end with the best team in the regular season claiming the title. After coming extremely close in the past few years, Tatum and the team were able to finally end their season with a championship. On the contrary side, the Mavericks put up a good fight but could not take down the juggernaut Celtics.
