Adrien Broner had an interaction with rap star Coi Leray on her Instagram Live recently. The boxer attempted to shoot his shot with Leray, but it didn’t work. Broner’s comments did not go unnoticed since the rapper directly responded to him during the live and completely shut him down. The clip later went viral after fans who witnessed it live uploaded the clip to social media.

Broner initially started to comment on her body and then invited her to attend his next fight with a heart emoji. Coi Leray took notice of this and stopped interacting with her fans to respond to him. She mentioned how trying to bag her on Instagram Live is crazy. Leray also said:

Okay. Like, that’s f**kin’ corny. I’m not interested. The f**k are we doing here? I’m going. I’m getting the f**k off of here.

She then asked her fans to view her post because she would be uploading her cover. Subsequently, Leray told her fans that she loved them and said bye before ending the live show. It seems the boxer‘s attempt to shoot his shot completely repulsed Leray, as can be seen from her response.

Later, Broner took to his Instagram story after the incident and called himself a marketing genius. This is because the world now knows he will be fighting on May 31. Leray also reacted to the incident later and mentioned that she wasn’t trying to be harsh and hoped that he would win the fight.

Adrien Broner’s next fight

While his attempt to shoot his shot failed, Broner’s upcoming fight has now received significantly more attention. The former welterweight champion is set to fight Blair Cobbs on May 31 in Miami. Both Broner and Cobbs also uploaded a poster of their fight on their social media accounts to confirm the official announcement.

Broner’s last fight was against Bill Hutchinson in June 2023, and he returned to the ring after two years at the time. Similarly, his upcoming opponent, Cobbs, has not fought for almost two years since he fought against Maurice Hooker in August 2023.

It should be noted that Adrien Broner used to be one of the biggest stars in boxing back in 2010–2015. However, his inactivity inside the ring has caused him to become slightly irrelevant in the sport. Hence, the fight may not receive much attention, and the winner won’t be getting a title fight anytime soon.
