Boxing is one of the oldest and most popular sport in the world, which never ceases to entertain fight fans. Mostly, fans long for high-level clashes between champions and undefeated contenders. However, there are instances like the recent heavyweight clash between Brandon Moore and Skylar Lacy, which adds to unpredictable nature.
The fight took place last night in a 10-round clash on the DAZN undercard headlined by Claressa Shields vs. Danielle Perkins. Going into the fight, both Moore and Lacy exchanged a physical face-off which almost ended in an altercation. While both boxers managed to hype the fight, inside the ring it was a different story altogether.
The bout ended in the eighth round after Lacy tackled Moore through the ropes, crashing into the ringside broadcast table. It could not have been more bizarre as the commentary team asked to disqualify both fighters. The referee started counting while both fighters were suspended in an awkward position, struggling to get back into the ring.

Moore finally managed to get inside, but the referee had waved off the fight. Lacy was disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct and the Florida native was declared the winner. However, it was definitely one of the worst heavyweight fights that fans had seen in recent years.
Fans react to bizarre heavyweight bout between Brandon Moore and Skylar Lacy
At the beginning of the fight, both Brandon Moore and Skylar Lacy were cautious and maintained their distance. However, as the fight proceeded, Lacy started holding and clinching more often. This forced the referee to deduct points from both fighters.
In boxing, brawls like this are not new and have happened many times. However, watching a boxer do a WWE-type move on his opponent was quite new. Here are some of the fan reactions to the bizarre ending.
