Dimitri Bivol cruises to a unanimous decision against Canelo Alvarez

Canelo Alvarez just fought Russia’s Dmitry Bivol for the (Super) light-heavyweight title. The fight took place inside the T-Mobile Arena, Paradise, Nevada and the results were shocking. After 12 rounds of continuous action, Bivol was declared the winner via unanimous decision. This made Bivol one of two individuals who have beaten the Mexican superstar in a boxing bout.

It was Alvarez second making him 57-2 as a professional boxer. Alvarez lost a fight after 15 consecutive wins and 9 long years. Although, he lost the bout he got the respect from the boxing community for moving up and taking a huge risk.

After the fight was over and the results were declared, the whole world was shocked although many knew from the fight that Alvarez was going to lose. Here are some of the most notable Twitter reactions of the Alvarez vs Bivol fight.

WBC Interim lightweight champion of the world, Ryan Garcia took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the fight. Garcia revealed that Canelo lost the bout fair and square and it would have been a robbery if the results were any different.

Famous YouTube superstar, Logan Paul had a different opinions on the whole fight as the fighter put out a tweet supporting Alvarez. Paul explained that the Mexican outboxed his opponent but was able to win only 7 rounds which is unfair. Paul claimed that boxing has a lot of problems and that’s why he is supporting his younger brother, Jake Paul to bring new solutions in the sport.

WBO junior lightweight title holder, Shakur Stevenson tweeted about the fight by showing his respect to Alvarez for moving up the weight and taking the risk. He wrote :

” Respect to Canelo tho he take big risk ? .”

Claressa Shields shared her respect towards Alvarez through Twitter and revealed that the Mexican tried his best to be great.

” Canelo dared to be great! And I’m like him Idc about weight classes! So he has my respect!,” She wrote.

American sportswriter Dan Rafael revealed his conversation with Alvarez after the fight with a latest tweet. He explained the champion is not sure about both the fights.

Boxing journalist and writer Michael Montero took to Twitter in order to show his disappointment over boxing fans. Montero called the fans the worst for talking down on Alvarez. He wrote :

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather posted a picture of placing the bet of $10,000 on Bivol. In the caption the undefeated fighter wrote ” Easy pick up.” Mayweather took his chance and won a 52,000 in return after the fight.
