Anthony Joshua sees nothing wrong in what legendary actor Will Smith did at the 94th Academy Awards. The boxer even jokes that the actor should have opted to punch instead of slapping Chris Rock on stage.
Yesterday the world was put in shock when actor Will Smith legitimately slapped comedian Chris Rock on the stage of the Oscars for cracking a joke at Jada Smith. The comedian made a joke about Jada’s appearance compared to the character in the movie G.I. Jane. Will, at first laughed but then later rushed to the stage and smacked the comedian for his joke.
While the world was split in two with their opinions on this pop culture event, boxer Anthony Joshua spoke and gave his support to the actor for standing up and defending his wife’s honor. Shortly later after the altercation broke down, Joshua took to Instagram and posted a picture of him and Will together. The fighter even added the music of “Eye of Tiger” to go with it following it up with the video of the altercation.

What is next for Anthony Joshua in boxing?
Anthony Joshua awaits ahead of his big rematch against Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk. The English boxer lost his heavyweight titles to former cruiserweight champion, Usyk. Both the fighters are now prepping for their rematch. The rematch was put to hold after Usyk was forced to defend his country of Ukraine in the war against Russia.
Joshua, very understanding of that agreed to postpone the date for his rematch. The fight is likely to happen in Saudi Arabia and Joshua will be keen to win back his belts against Usyk. Tyson Fury, the heavyweight superstar was very keen to take on the winner of the Usyk vs Joshua rematch but has been forced to defend his belt against the mandatory contender, Dillian Whyte.
Joshua will still look to beat Usyk and hopefully land a fight against his English rival, the Gyspy King aka Tyson Fury. Who do you think wins the rematch between Usyk and Joshua?
