Anthony Taylor and Tommy Fury
This is not the first time Anthony Taylor has been part of a Jake Paul fight card. The last time, he was against the original opponent of the YouTube boxer, Tommy Fury.
Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley II goes down on the 18th of December at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida. The YouTube sensation was not however originally scheduled to fight his former rival in a rematch. The original fighter to headline this SHOWTIME pay-per-view card alongside Paul was the younger brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, Tommy Fury.
Tommy was forced to pull out of the fight due to injury and Tyron Woodley had to replace him. Anthony, who has previously made an appearance in a SHOWTIME PPV boxing card under Paul is once again fighting, but this time against Chris Avilla. Talking to fight reporter The Schmo, Taylor trashed his former rival, Tommy for backing out of the fight.
Anthony Taylor says Tommy Fury is a fraud

Anthony and Tommy met each other for the first time in the ring on August 2nd in 2021. Taylor was transitioning into the sport of boxing to take on an undefeated boxer. Despite all the hype, Taylor lost the fight via unanimous decision. Fury breezed past Taylor because of his massive size difference and the judges scored the fight 40-36.
However, Anthony believes Fury did not win the fight and was a ‘fraud’. “Absolutely. Over exposing Tommy for who he is as an actual boxer. When I fought him people were saying, ‘Oh this is a fraud. He is not a real Fury, he’s a fairy,” said Taylor talking to the Schmo.
How do you see Taylor’s chances of beating up his next opponent Chris Avilla on December 18th?
