The contest gathered immense popularity throughout its build as it was a history-making fight. First time in the legacy of the iconic Madison Square Garden, two female fighters headlined a fighting event.
After ten rounds of extraordinary boxing, Taylor was finally announced as the winner via split decision. The Irish successfully defended her WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring female lightweight titles and made history.
Although the fight was impressive it managed to get some controversy around it. The fight was extremely close and both the fighters were giving their best. Some fans believe that the decision was unfair and Serrano was robbed. On the other hand, most were pleased by the results and accepted it. After the fight the fighting community got divided over this and everybody shared their own opinions.
But despite all these claims, it cannot change the fact that the ladies just showed an incredible fight and entertained the world. Likewise at the end, Taylor won the fight.

Conor McGregor being a proud Irish who has represented his nation on a mega stage like UFC cannot be more proud of Taylor’s success.
After the results were declared, The ‘Notorious’ took the opportunity to congratulate Taylor through his official Twitter account. McGregor revealed that Taylor has proved yet again that she is the greatest. The fighter commended both Taylor and Serrano for showing great heart and impressive boxing.

It seems like ‘ The Mystic Mac’ thoroughly enjoyed the fight as it is rare for him to praise other fighters. Even before the fight started, McGregor was showing his support towards Taylor. He even tweeted that he is always with the lightweight champion.
