Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather reflects on the occasion when he was awestruck by the immense wealth of Warren Buffett.

Floyd Mayweather Jr is a boxing legend and has successfully established himself as one of the wealthiest boxers in the world. Even though the former five-division champion stopped competing in professional boxing in 2017, he is still active in making millions through exhibition matches and other commercial endeavors. Mayweather has a net worth of around 1 billion and It shouldn’t be a surprise that ‘Money’ spends his money on opulent items like designer clothes, pricey jewelry, and luxury cars.
Mayweather has his own personal jets however,in this one instance he got humbled in front of Warren Buffett. In a video, Mayweather described his meeting with Buffett and talking about owning private jets. Mayweather claimed to possess two private aircraft, but when he learned how many jets Buffett had, he was astounded. Then, Mayweather asserted that the billionaire possessed over 500 jets, which in comparison to Mayweather is nothing.
“So me and Warren Buffett is sitting down like this in a dressing room. One time right before one of my fights talking to him he was talking about his jets. I’m talking about my jets at the particular time, I think I had two jets, and they said this man he got, I think 540 jets he had like 500 or something jets so he showing out,” said Mayweather.”
Buffet is cut the #6 richest man in the world with a net worth of around $105.1 billion. Known for being the most successful investor in the stock market, Buffett has earned a lot of money and it only makes sense for him to own over 500 jets.
Floyd Mayweather reveals how much money he makes a month
Floyd Mayweather has been a pay-per-view superstar in the last two decades and managed to earn millions of dollars through fights. “Money” was smart and was able to tap into the business aspect of the sport which helped him earn more than anybody else.
Other than his boxing paychecks, Mayweather also started many other business ventures including his promotion company. When talking about his monthly revenue, Mayweather once said: ‘I will continue to give back to the sport of boxing in my time, and I will also give back financially because I got it. To my team, my guys in New York, and my other real estate team that’s here today, we can’t be stopped. In 32 months, I put myself in a position with a smart business team to make $300m a month. It all started from the sport of boxing.”
Mayweather is one the few athletes who didn’t sign up with ahy big brands and instead focused on building his own. According to the fighter, he didn’t want to depend on anybody else to make billions.
