Eroll Spence Jr is one of the biggest names in the current world of professional boxing. The Fighter has achieved a lot inside the squared ring but has been very lucky outside too. Spence Jr has a history of getting into serious car crashes in the past and one time it was a 14-year-old boy who was involved in the crash.
Last year in December, The unbeaten WBA/WBC/IBF welterweight champion was in a two-vehicle collision in the greater Dallas region. An underage, unlicensed driver who ran a red light struck Spence’s SUV head-on.
Luckily, Spence was able to walk away from the incident relatively unhurt, but while waiting for the local police to arrive and perform an inquiry on the scene, he complained of a leg injury in an Instagram Live session recording the immediate aftermath. In the live session, the fighter showed his car which was absolutely destroyed from the front.
“The motherf***** hit me. f**ked my leg up. It’s crazy. He ran the light. Always happens to me. I’ve seen him coming too. He ran right into me”, Spence said. The unlicensed minor ran the red light, struck his SUV’s head with the vehicle, and caused a significant collision. According to the investigation, the child drove his mother’s car without her consent.

It was not the first time the renowned boxer was involved in a car crash. Back in 2019, During one early morning, the champion boxer lost control of his Ferrari. But unlike the recent car collision, he was thrown from the vehicle and was hurt badly.
Adding to his troubles, it was revealed in June 2022 that Eroll Spence Jr had been drinking and driving, leading to legal consequences including fines of $3400 and a three-day jail sentence. While the details of the recent collision were not widely publicized, Spence Jr himself acknowledged his role in the incident, describing it as a minor accident. However, he admitted to being significantly distracted by the crash.
