“We thought Amanda won” – Jake Paul is baffled by Katie Taylor getting the better end of a split decision in her fight against Amanda Serrano

The Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano fight was a historic showdown and bothe the fighters just proved it. The fight was impressive and it entertained the fans to the fullest. Both Serrano and Taylor were equally matched and were able to connect many shots. But after 10 rounds of back and forth, Taylor was declared the winner via split decision.
However, the decision was not taken in a good way by many. There were fight fans who believed that the fight was rigged and Taylor shouldn’t have won the fight. The same was with Serrano’s promoter Jake Paul. The 26 year old was extremely open about his difference in opinions regarding the results.
During the post fight interview with DAZN Boxing, Paul revealed the fight should have been a draw. He said :
“It was a draw at best. We thought we won, we thought Amanda won. Amanda performed amazing.”

After the fight ended and Taylor was declared the winner, the world went crazy with their own speculations and narratives.
Jake Paul also shared his opinions regarding the fight through his official Twitter account after the bout. The Youtuber turned boxer wrote” Robbed” implying that the fight was snatched from Serrano.
According to Paul, Serrano was the better fighter in the fight and her performance was enough to get the belt. The undefeated boxer continued his claims by another tweet that backed his thoughts on the fight. Paul shared a screenshot of overall punches landed in which Serrano was leading. He explained that Serrano out-volumeed Taylor and the numbers don’t lie. ” Amanda Serrano out landed Katie Taylor in landed punches both to the body and head. Men lie. Women lie. Numbers don’t. ,” Wrote Paul.
Although the stats shared by Paul were correct, that’s not how a boxing match is scored. In reality, it is scored round by round. But it seems like there are many other like Paul who are not willing to accept that Taylor won the fight.
