Sky is the limit for boxer Jake Paul. The YouTube star might step things up and fight for the world title in the earliest stages of his career.
YouTube star turned boxer Jake Paul seems to aim for the biggest fights of his career. The Prblm Child hints that he might face the world champion, Canelo Alvarez. Paul is now scheduled to fight the 5-time welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, on August 28th. The fight will be streamed on Showtime in pay-per-view. This is only his fourth professional fight. Jake is coming off a knockout win against former Bellator champion Ben Askren. Paul recently went on TMZ Sports to talk about his boxing ventures.
“I just want to continue to be the most disruptive boxer in the history of the sport,” he explained,” Paul told TMZ. “That means taking this on a fight-by-fight basis and continuing to get even bigger and take on more and more serious opponents. If you told me where I was gonna be at three years ago, I wouldn’t believe you.”
Sky is the limit for Jake Paul!
“So I don’t even wanna think about, or ‘cap’ myself, with the possibilities. I’m open-minded and I think anything is possible,” he continued. “I think I could be fighting against Canelo Alvarez for the WBC or the WBO championship belt. Why not, baby?” Paul spoke on his possibilities of fighting a world champion after Tyron Woodley. The Youtuber also made sure everyone understood that he is taking his boxing career very seriously.
“A lot of people are afraid to try, they’re afraid to get up out of their seats, they’re afraid to do something different. But that’s them, that’s not me. I know I can accomplish anything I set my mind to, and that’s why there’s a difference between successful and non-successful people in this world,” he asserted. “So really, the sky is the limit. It’s just about how seriously I take it, and I do take it seriously. More seriously than 99% of these ‘professional’ boxers that are out there.”
