Jake Paul has shocked a lot of people since trading in his camera for boxing gloves, putting together a professional record of 5-0, with some (Almost) impressive knockout victories against two pro athletes, A NFL player, and a YouTuber. His next plan, however, is even more ambitious as the social media star has expressed a desire to join the NFL.

Paul began boxing professionally in 2018, defeating British YouTuber Deji Olatunji, and he is unbeaten after five fights. However, after calling out Conor McGregor and a few other famous athletes, he has now decided to switch over and gain fame in a whole new sport.

Earlier this year, Paul revealed his intentions of retiring from boxing with a 10-0 record and then joining the NFL. “I can run a 4.5 second 40-yard dash. You don’t think the Browns will draft me, come on now. I can play free safety.” When asked what position he would want to play, Paul replied: “Slot receiver, I’ve got hands. If you get me some of those sticky Nike gloves, I’ll be up in there scoring touchdowns and you’re going to see me on SportsCenter’s highlight reel.”

Jake might have a long way to go but this isn’t the first time a Combat sport athlete has jumped to the sport of Football. Brock Lesnar who was a WWE star decided to make the same jump and was given an opportunity by the Minnesota Vikings. He played a few pre-season games.

“Dream” Tony Ferguson supports Jake Paul’s ambition to play for the NFL

The UFC lightweight star Ferguson replied to the tweet from Paul where he stated that he’s going to start training to make it to the world’s leading American football league. Ferguson wrote, “Don’t Let Em’ Tell You Ya Can’t Kid, Dream Big -Champ -CSO #YouNeedHelpIGotYouCovered Defensive Back State Champ.”

Tony is also a decorated athlete who represented Muskegon Catholic Central High School and his academy in three different sports, namely: American football, baseball, and wrestling. He started as a defensive back for the team and won the Division 8 State Football Championship in 2000.

Tony then went on to have an Impressive UFC career with a 12 fight win streak starting from 2013 to 2020. Tony was also inspired to try his hand out at Boxing when Jake Paul fought Tyron Woodley and sends lots of appreciation to Paul.
