David Haye Dillian Whyte and John Fury

Tyson Fury’s father John Fury wants David Haye to be banned from commentating on his son’s fight next weekend against Dillian Whyte. Haye is a former professional boxer and is a two-weight champion. Currently, Haye works with BT Sport as a pundit and commentator. While talking with talkSPORT.com regarding the upcoming heavyweight bout during the media day, Haye picked the underdog as the winner of the fight.

You’ll get massive odds betting on Dillian Whyte, “No-one is really backing him whatsoever… He can punch hard, he’s got cardio for days he’s got the desire and belief in himself. I think Whyte is going to pull off the upset. I think this is his opportunity. I think this is what he’s been waiting for,” said Haye.

Fury has not taken such words by Haye in a casually. The former bare-knuckle fighter while talking to talkSPORT made his opinions clear regarding Haye.

John Fury explained that Haye will have to be in the last row in the stands during the Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte fight. John revealed that he has already talked with English promoter Frank Warren to prohibit Haye from commentating. Fury warned that if it is not taken care of there will be a huge problem. John Fury accused Haye of being a hater and the whole country should know it. According to Fury, the former heavyweight champion should remain far from him and his family.

David Haye needs to take a back seat in the stands where nobody can see him. I’ve already made it quite clear to Frank Warren – he is not allowed to be commentating on my son’s fight, otherwise, there will be a problem. That’s black and white, the nation can hear me. He’s a hater, I don’t want him near my family, that’s the bottom line,” said Fury.

The relationship between Haye and the Fury family has not been that good in the past. It’s not the first time Haye has shown his support against ‘The Gypsy King’. Earlier, when Fury was set to fight with Deontay Wilder, Haye backed the American to beat Fury.

There are many assumptions regarding the fight and everything will be clear on Saturday 23 April 2022 at Wembley Stadium in London, England. It will be interesting to see if Whyte has what it takes to stop the unbeaten record of Fury.
