‘Caused a couple fights in my house,’ Kamaru Usman reveals how Mike Tyson riled up his father during PPV boxing match

Kamaru Usman shares a hilarious story when his father got at Mike Tyson when Usman was young. Tyson was the biggest superstar in the 80s and the 90s and fight fans were obsessed with him and his aura.
Iron Mike was a household name and his pay-per-views were getting millions of views then. Usman shared the story when his father bought Mike Tyson PPV to watch the fight and one time he went to get beer and in minutes the fight was over. According to Usman, his father was extremely angry and back then many people were mad at Tyson for finishing his opponents very soon.
He said: “Mike, you caused almost a couple of fights in my house. Growing up, my dad will get the Pay-per-view and I distinctly remember there was one. Fight is about to start, and I think he went to get a beer in the garage. My dad goes into the garage and he comes back, fights over.
I remember there was a time when people were mad at you because the fights, they didn’t last long.” In his prime,Tyson was a force of nature inside the ring and obliterated many opponents in his career. He made it look too easy and knocked out his opponents in the first round which pissed a lot of his fans who wanted to see longer fights.

Tyson’s mentality going into the fights was different from other fighters as he went in there with the aim to kill his opponents. Tyson was a knockout master and has dropped many opponents throughout his career under one minute. Here are some of the fastest knockouts in Tyson’s career.
Mike Tyson vs Mark Young: In his early patch of boxing career, Tyson fought Young in 1985 and won the fight via KO. The fight went on for only 50 seconds before Young got dropped by ‘Iron Mike’.
Mike Tyson vs Clifford Etienne: Back in 2003, Tyson was clearly deteriorating and was not the same fighter he used to be; however, his punches still carried incredible power. Tyson fought and defeated Clifford Etienne in only 49 seconds in their bout.
Mike Tyson vs Michael Johnson : Mike Tyson fought Michael Johnson in 1985 and as expected the fight ended quickly. Johnson failed to keep up and got finished in only 39 seconds into the fight.
Mike Tyson vs Robert Colay: In the same year, Tyson fought Robert Colay and shocked everyone by beating his opponent in only 37 seconds in the first round.
Mike Tyson vs Marvin Frazier: Tyson’s fastest knockout was in 30 seconds when he floored opponent Marvin Frazier in 1986. This helped in gaining more and more attention from fans who saw Tyson as a destroyer.
