It is with heavy hearts that we bring you the devastating news of a young boxer’s untimely demise. A 14-year-old fighter, Timofey Shadrin, collapsed during a boxing match and tragically passed away due to the referee’s delay in stopping the match. This incident has sparked a debate on the safety and regulations in the boxing world and the responsibilities of officials.
Timofey Shadrin competed in a local city championship in Russia and was part of an amateur boxing tour. Furthermore, the 14-year-old was reportedly a promising and gifted boxer who was passionate about the sport. The tragedy occurred in the finals of a junior amateur competition for the city championship. During the fight, Shadrin held his own and fought well, but in the middle, the rebels stopped the fight to separate them. Shadrin backed away towards the ropes, and this is when he fell on the canvas and was unconscious.
The child passed away shortly after being taken to a hospital in the town of Pervouralsk, Sverdlovskiy district. Furthermore, it was reported by eyewitnesses that the rebels stepped into the fight very late. As the young boxer’s condition worsened, spectators grew concerned. It became apparent that he was unable to defend himself properly and was in desperate need of assistance.
Unfortunately, the referee failed to recognize the severity of the situation, leading to a delay in stopping the fight. News of this tragedy spread like wildfire, igniting a fierce debate about the safety of young boxers and the referees’ responsibilities. Critics argue that the referee should have acted swiftly to protect the young boxer, especially when signs of distress were evident.
14-year-old amateur boxer Darryl Pollock dies on vacation
A 14-year-old boxer from Edinburgh tragically passed away while on holiday with his family, just days short of his birthday. Further, the young boxer’s name was Jack Pollock, and he passed away while on vacation in Portugal.
The 14-year-old was on holiday with his mother, Johan Pollock, and younger brother when tragedy struck. His father, Darryl Pollock, spoke to the press about the unexpected loss and shared how Jack’s friends and boxing gym are grieving after the tragedy.
Furthermore, the people from the Granton amateur boxing club also expressed their condolences. In addition, it was only reported that Jack passed away unexpectedly during the trip, and the official cause of death has not been released.
