In an episode of ‘The MMA Hour’ hosted by Ariel Helwani, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn touched on a potential bout between Francis Ngannou and Derek Chisora. ‘The Predator,’ who recently left the UFC, is looking for an exhibition boxing debut fight. Chisora on the other hand, fought Tyson Fury for the third time in December of 2022 and retired.

Eddie Hearn spoke on a fight in the Middle East for Francis Ngannou against Derek Chisora on a blockbuster card. On a card that headlines Tyson Fury against Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder as a co-main, Hearn claimed that he is interested. “There are rumors about a third fight, for that night night in December. Which could b Ngannou against Chisora,” said the boxing promoter.

“I actually quite like that fight,” said Eddie Hearn on ‘The MMA Hour.’ He continued, “I don’t see Francis being competitive against Tyson or AJ. But, more competitive against Chisora.” The CEO of ‘Matchroom Boxing’ shut down the interest in ‘The Predator’ fighting against Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua. Ariel Helwani and Hearn proceeded to touch on the PFL deal the ex-UFC fighter signed.

Although a Middle East mega fight rumor was shot down by Tyson Fury, Eddie Hearn seemed interested. He revealed the Saudi businessmen made the decisions regarding the alleged mega fight involving the heavyweight contenders. Fight fans went wild on Twitter following the claim by Eddie Hearn.

The reactions were followed by a tweet posted by popular boxing editor and Twitter user ‘Michael Benson.’ He wrote, “Eddie Hearn has declared that it’s his understanding that the Saudis want to make Francis Ngannou vs Derek Chisora on their planned show in December headlined by Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder.“

Following his departure from UFC, Francis Ngannou is looking for a potential exhibition bout. ‘The Predator’ was rumored to fight WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. The fighter also touched on fighting Anthony Joshua who declined the offer. However, with the rumored fight against Derek Chisora, fans eagerly wait for a formal announcement from the fighter.
