“Sign a contract” – After making feud with Oscar De La Hoya public, Ryan Garcia teases mega fight against Isaac Cruz

Ryan Garcia‘s attempt to secure his next opponent has put fans in a frenzy. Initially, Garcia was in talks to fight Devin Haney, but he later retracted his decision to instead fight Rolando Romero or Isaac Cruz. Furthermore, Garcia and his promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, got into a public disagreement over this on social media. Subsequently, De La Hoya announced that Jose Ramirez is a potential opponent for Garcia currently.
Garcia retaliated to this by mentioning that Ramirez was not going to be his next opponent. In addition, Garcia even stated that it was him vs. his promoter at this point. This is mainly because of the tug-of-war that they are having over Garcia’s next opponent.
Furthermore, De La Hoya mentioned that Romero and Cruz are not going to be viable options for Ryan Garcia, but Garcia doesn’t seem to agree with that. Subsequently, Garcia called out Cruz on his social media, stating:

Hence, Garcia is again at odds with his promoter because De La Hoya mentioned that Cruz and Romero were not going to be his next opponents. Now it appears that Garcia has dropped the idea of fending off Romero and has shifted his focus to Cruz.
Romero reacted to this by throwing shade at Garcia and De La Hoya for wasting his time the same way Haney had reacted before him. Garcia’s fight with Cruz has not been confirmed yet since Garcia has only called him out for now.
Sean Gibbons speaks about Cruz vs. Garcia
Garcia has been trying to secure the biggest and most lucrative fight. This has led him to jump from one potential opponent to the next. Similarly, now Garcia has shifted his focus to Cruz and even called him out. Furthermore, MP Promotions President Sean Gibbons, who is Cruz’s promoter, spoke about his matchup before Garcia called out Cruz in an interview with Boxing Scene.
Subsequently, Gibbons stated that they have had some back-and-forth for some years, but now the perfect opportunity to fight has arrived. Gibbons also mentioned that he believes that the Garcia vs. Cruz fight is bigger than the Garcia vs. Romero fight. In addition, Gibbons stated that Manny Pacquiao wants to see the Garica vs. Cruz fight. However, according to Gibbons, Floyd Mayweather wants to see the Garcia vs. Romero fight.
Gibbons also stated that Cruz is one of the biggest Hispanic boxers, the way Canelo Alvarez is. Hence, Gibbons stated that the fight will be huge if it happens in 2024. Furthermore, he stated that Garcia is returning to the ring in April 2024, and Cruz is ready for that fight.
