Ryan Garcia has been going through a rollercoaster ride to find his opponent for his next big fight. This started with his engaging in negotiations with Devin Haney for a mega fight, but Garcia quickly changed his mind. Subsequently, Garcia went on to instead challenge Rolando Romero, and after that, he called out Isaac Cruz. However, Garcia went into a public feud over his next opponent with his promoter, Oscar De La Hoya

De La Hoya announced that Romero and Cruz have priced themselves out of negotiations. In addition, De La Hoya proposed that Garcia should fight Jose Ramirez, but Ryan Garcia publicly shot down the idea. This dispute over Gracia’s next opponent led him to state that it was him vs. his promoter at this point.

Hence, Garcia seems to have made up his mind and announced that he will be fighting Romero next. Furthermore, even though negotiations have been tumultuous so far, Garcia seems to be confident about this fight.

Subsequently, Garcia has announced that the fight will happen on April 20th in Las Vegas. In addition, Romero will be defending his WBA super-lightweight world title against Garcia. However, since the negotiations have been so difficult, this fight can be called off.

Fans react to Ryan Garcia’s announcement

Garcia has been putting the boxing world in a frenzy this entire month with his potential opponents. Initially, everybody was hyped to see Haney vs. Garcia, and both of them seemed optimistic about it. However, Garcia later decided not to pursue the fight and started jumping from one opponent to another.

Furthermore, after Gracia turned down Romero, De La Hoya reached out to him, and they had a DM exchange. Later, Romero uploaded those DMs and threw shade at De La Hoya for his cross-dressing controversy. Subsequently, now it appears that Romero is the next opponent again, and fans reacted to this by stating, “Fighting tanks left over.”
