The first trailer for Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou is out, and it’s causing a storm amongst fans. Dubbed ‘Knockout Chaos,’ the highly anticipated event is set for March 8 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. The poster for the fight offered a preview of the mega-fight and gave hints of what was to come in the trailer. However, the promotional video broke all expectations and left boxing fans in awe after witnessing it.
The video showed the two heavyweight titans Anthony Joshua and Ngannou having an exchange of blows at various locations. Furthermore, there was a smooth transition between the live-action scenes and the retro 16-bit style of the game, reminiscent of the 90s classic Street Fighter 2. Across the trailer, both fighters hit their opponents with punches that made them fly away. This made the video dynamic across various locations.
The trailer was vibrant, creative, and dynamic, and it showcased the immense punching power that both fighters possessed. Further, they included comical aspects in the trailer to keep it more interesting and fun. This included a hilarious scene where both Ngannou and Joshua get beaten up by an old lady with a broomstick.
The trailer continued as both fighters kept exchanging blows until they were both dropped to the canvas simultaneously. Subsequently, this trailer and the trailer for the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk fight reflect Saudi Arabia’s commitment to uplift the sport of boxing.
Fans react to the Joshua vs. Ngannou promo
Ngannou’s next fight will be his second in the ring. The Cameroonian-French fighter made his professional debut against WBC heavyweight champion Fury in October 2023. Ngannou lost via a controversial split decision, but his boxing skills were impressive. Hence, after Deontay Wilder lost to Joseph Parker, it was decided that Joshua would fight Ngannou instead of Wilder.
The upcoming fight means a lot to both fighters since the winner will fight the next undisputed heavyweight champion. As such, the highly anticipated fight has received an indelible trailer, which has rattled the boxing world’s expectations. Subsequently, fans reacted to the trailer by stating, “Better than the real fights are going to be.”
Fans were left in awe after witnessing the trailer and watched the video with a lot of praise. Furthermore, fans credited Turki Alalshikh for these amazing trailers, which are different from the ones Las Vegas would make. Subsequently, fans jokingly remarked that the trailer was unrealistic since Joshua got up after getting punched by Ngannou.
