Knockout Chaos main event featured Francis Ngannou in his second pro-boxing bout. ‘The Predator’ faced decorated boxer and two-time champion Anthony Joshua. Most combat sports fans expected the bout to feature some continuous back-and-forth action. The fight also had an incredible build-up. However, Anthony Joshua knocked out Francis Ngannou in under two rounds to shock the combat sports world.

Anthony Joshua rebounded well from two back-to-back losses at the hands of Oleksandr Usyk. Last year, he knocked out Robert Helenius and Otto Wallin to regain his form. On the other hand, Francis Ngannou performed valiantly against Tyson Fury in his first professional boxing bout. The defense and knockout power of Ngannou made fans think the contest would remain competitive. It just didn’t happen as Joshua put on an absolute masterclass in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The bout started with AJ trading swift body punches on Ngannou. Soon, he found space to knock down the Predator with a clean right hand. The first round continued in this manner, with both men feinting and trying to go on the offensive. However, in the second round, AJ once again knocked Ngannou down with a similar strike. Once Ngannou got up, he landed a clean right-hand strike to knock ‘The Predator’ out cold.

The brutal knockout dented Ngannou’s plan to win the heavyweight titles in boxing. Ngannou’s departure from the UFC happened due to his ambition to pursue a career in boxing. His excellent performance against Tyson Fury made everyone think about his championship potential in the sport of boxing. He will likely return to PFL to face PFL heavyweight champion Renan Ferreira.
