Anthony Joshua has made quite the comeback after his three professional losses, including two consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk. Hence, the former two-time unified heavyweight champion has been racking up a string of impressive victories in his last three fights. Many people believe that AJ has returned to his former glory and is aiming to become a three-time world champion. As such, Joshua is currently aiming to fight the winner of the undisputed heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Usyk.

His Excellency, Turki Alalshikh earlier announced that the victor of Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou will likely fight for the title. While Fury and Usyk were scheduled to duke it out on February 17, that particular fight was pushed to May 18 after Fury was injured in training. Moreover, Usyk and Fury will fight twice due to a rematch clause. However, Joshua seems patient for his opportunity.

Now that Joshua impressively finished Ngannou in the second round, he is set to fight the winner between Fury and Usyk. If Joshua faces Fury, it will be the first time the British rivals go head to head. However, while this will be an interesting fight to witness, many fans wish to see the trilogy fight between Joshua and Usyk.

Furthermore, since Joshua has made a comeback, it would be interesting to see his performance against Usyk this time. In addition, if Anthony Joshua can fight Usyk and defeat him, it would be a satisfying victory for his fans and his career.

Anthony Joshua aims to fight both Fury and Usyk

After Fury and Usyk fight two times for the undisputed heavyweight title, Joshua is going to face the winner. However, Joshua wishes to eventually fight both Fury and Usyk, regardless of who the winner is. As mentioned earlier, the fight between Fury and Joshua has been highly anticipated for years.

Simultaneously, Joshua’s trilogy fight with Usyk could help him redeem himself after his consecutive losses. During the post-fight interview, Joshua stated: 

Why not fight them both? It shouldn’t be one or the other; I should have the opportunity to compete with them both.

In addition, Joshua mentioned that he wishes to compete with several other fighters in the division. This indicates that Joshua wishes to secure his legacy in the division by proving himself inside the ring.
