Possible Anthony Yarde vs Artur Beterbiev ?
Artur Beterbiev, the world light heavyweight champion, will now face London boxer Anthony Yarde in October. Recently, the Russian-Canadian added the WBO championship to his WBC and IBF titles. Yarde appeared in the press conference and other promotional events leading up to Beterbiev vs. Smith Jr. Yarde was also there at the bout and is set to meet Beterbiev later this year.
The British boxer claims he will “shock a lot of people.” if he were to fight Beterbiev. However, Beterbiev looks to be more interested in a unification match versus Dmitry Bivol. Yarde’s promoter, Frank Warren, has said for months that the winner of the unification fight will have to face Yarde next. Beterbiev’s promoter, Bob Arum, too verified this information on the night of the fight but nothing is set in stone.
