Fabio Wardley and David Adeleye will fight each other on October 28th in the Saudi Arabia boxing card. Furthermore, Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou will compete in the main event of the card. However, the fight card faced a setback regarding the British heavyweight title.

Fabio is the current British heavyweight champion, and Adeleye has been targeting Wardley since winning the title. Subsequently, people had doubts because no one had ever fought for the British heavyweight title on foreign soil. Furthermore, officials have announced they will not stake the title in their fight. The British Boxing Board of Control has confirmed, “The British heavyweight title will not be on the line for Fabio Wardley vs. David Adeleye. Which is planned to take place in Saudi Arabia on the Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou undercard on October 28th.”

Fans had anticipated this outcome, especially since the main event between Tyson Fury and Ngannou won’t be for the WBC title. During a press conference, Adeleye stated they were pushing for the British heavyweight title to be at stake. However, their efforts became futile since the decision did not go in their favor. Though the British heavyweight title is not at stake, both fighters are motivated to win the fight.

One of Britain’s leading heavyweight contenders, Frazer Clarke, has declared that he would face the victor of Wardley vs. Adeleye. Clarke has been attempting to secure the British heavyweight title for quite some time.

In an interview with Metro, Clarke stated his desire to box the winner of the fight. Clarke stated that he did not want the fight to get pulled off like it did with him and Adeleye. Furthermore, he stated that Adeleye’s promoter pulled off his fighter at the last moment of the purse bid. Subsequently, Clarke received a lot of criticism, which he did not appreciate and did not want to repeat.

It’s unclear if Clarke is interested in fighting the Wardley-Adeleye winner if they don’t contest the British title. Furthermore, Clarke’s intentions remain clear after he reacted to the recent announcement from the British Boxing Board of Control.
