A few days after Terence Crawford expressed his intentions to move up three weight divisions to face Canelo Alvarez at 168 pounds, Canelo, who initially showed little interest, has also altered his stance on the possible fight.

During an interview with BoxingScene.com, Alvarez, the current undisputed super middleweight champion, stated that he would be willing to entertain the idea of fighting Terence Crawford if the fighter’s comments were genuinely serious and meaningful.

He said, “You never know. You never know in boxing. I will go up and down and fight everybody out there. So, it’s possible. Why not? It’s possible. If it makes sense, I am down to do it. I don’t care who is there.”

According to Alvarez, he doesn’t want to be criticized by fans for fighting someone who is smaller than him. However, he doesn’t care about anything and is ready to go down in order to fight Crawford in the future.

However, after that, Crawford confirmed that he would gain weight to meet Alvarez, and now it seems like the fight can actually take place. Here are some of the most notable tweets from fans about the fight.
