Canelo Álvarez is a phenomenal name in the sphere of boxing. The undisputed super middleweight champ often catches flak for avoidance of peers. Namely, the likes of Mexican-American David Benavidez. Ryan Garcia is another Mexican-American name he had some issues with for a while. But that seems to have ended now.

Ryan ‘King Ry’ Garcia has stirred up storms in social media circles. The ESPN‘s sixth-best active junior welterweight faces super lightweight champ Devin Haney. Ahead of his mega-fight on April 20th live on DAZN, his disturbing messages hinting at satan cultist assailants had garnered much worry. So much so that even Alvarez expressed his concerns to Fight Hub TV. Now, here’s what Garcia wrote about Canelo:

No amount of hate can separate our Mexican Bond @canelo @ pesopluma. Thank you canelo for all the lessons and teachings you gave me. Also thank you to @caneloteam for all the training you helped me with...

Michael Benson, boxing editor for talkSport.com (@MichaelBensonn), reposted the dialogue on X. Garcia trained under Eddy Reynoso, who is the head coach of Canelo Álvarez and Óscar Valdez at their gym. However, he later called it quits, stating Álvarez’s stardom impeded his training. He had even overtly called him out for betraying him. They had quite the banter going.

Garcia also weighed in against him facing Jaime Munguia next and on the gag of him nitpicking who he fights. However, they have settled on better terms. He told NotiFight and BoxingScene that all beefs were squashed now. Critical of his decision to leave his long-time trainer, Álvarez now even wished him well against Haney.

The year in Ryan Garcia (2024): What’s going on with the boxer?

Ryan Garcia has already proven himself quite the pro-boxing staple. Standing at a sturdy 24-1, the highlight of Golden Boy Promotions is at an all-time high. He will take the fight to undefeated Devin Haney next. He has a hard fight coming against Devin Haney.

Hence, his turbulent social profile rocked the boxing community and fans. Mentions of ‘Satan’ and ‘666’ in an erratic 6-second reel had fans wondering if Ryan Garcia was dead.

Announcing the birth of their son, the boxer split with Andrea Celina soon after. This did not curry him any favors. However, his partners, brother, and prominent peers have weighed in on his condition.

In an X-Space convo that Andrew Tate hosted, he even brazenly claimed an elite group tied him down and made him watch acts of pedophilia. To which fans resonated with his thoughts on the under-table conditions of heathen Hollywood.

However, the supports quickly simmered down in light of Garcia’s questionable footwork and stance during a sparring session. The boxer went on to wow fight fans with IG reels of some hard sparring coming to light.

In Dec. 2022, Garcia began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the famed coach of BJJ Lineage – Rener Gracie. Hence, he has confidently doused warring words to Sean O’Malley in MMA yet again.

He also very recently mended fences with Saul “Canelo” Álvarez. All in all, his next affair is shaping up to be quite the event.
