Jermell Charlo, the undisputed light middleweight champion, will take on Canelo Alvarez, the undisputed super middleweight champ. Furthermore, Alvarez revealed his motivations for the upcoming fight in a recent media workout.

The Charlo brothers have called out Alvarez for some time, but Alvarez did forget his comments. Alvarez said, “He never believed in my skills. But guess what? He’s gonna find out soon. So, I’m very excited for this fight because he and his brother never believe in my skills. And that’s one of the things that motivate me for this fight. And I’m very excited because it’s almost here.“

Alvarez thought the Charlo brothers had always doubted him, and he was ready to prove them wrong. Hence, Alvarez hinted that he might consider challenging Jermall Charlo once he defeated Jermell. Furthermore, Alvarez stated that he had made all necessary preparations for this bout to secure his victory.

This bout is scheduled to serve as the September 30th SHOWTIME PPV event’s headlining event. Subsequently, the fight will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Alvarez will look to put away “washed” comments from fans when he faces Charlo.

According to the Betting Insider Journal, Canelo Alvarez is ‘-200’ favorite going into the fight, and Charlo is ‘+160’. In terms of resume and status, Alvarez is the leading contender going into the fight, whereas Charlo cannot be disregarded.
