YouTuber Jake Paul has called out multiple big-name fighters after his boxing stints against MMA fighters. But, the one name that Paul is adamant about is boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez. The Mexican boxer is already considered in the list of boxing greats. When previously asked about Paul’s callouts, Alvarez shrugged it off by calling this fight “A low-level matchup”. But recently in an interview, Alvarez welcomed the opportunity to fight Paul in an exhibition match later in his career.
Canelo stated that he doesn’t want a fight with the YouTuber-turned-fighter right now, as he has big plans in play right now. But does entertain the callout for something after he retires. When asked about how long would that fight last, Canelo cheekily replied on the Happy Punch YouTube channel, “Not long.” Further, one of the hosts also asked if Alvarez plans to carry Jake in their fight just so that it could last longer. Canelo said, “Yeah, why not? I think that people will enjoy it.”
Canelo is set to fight Jermell Charlo on September 30th. The Mexican boxer will defend all four of his super middleweight titles against Charlo. And on the other hand, the YouTube boxer is just in the third year of his career. Paul is currently 7-1-0 in boxing but has made it to the spotlight because of his choice of opponents, the recent one being UFC fighter Nate Diaz.
But generously, the boxing great has accepted Paul’s invitation to fight, but only after retirement. Canelo’s list of opponents has always included boxing elites. For Jake Paul to be included in that list, he needs to up his game by fighting more professional boxers and fewer MMA fighters.

Canelo Alvarez makes his pick in the twin Charlo brothers
Boxing genius Canelo Alvarez has made his pick when it comes down to who is the most skilled fighter in the two brothers, Jermell Charlo or Jermall Charlo. Alvarez is set to face one of the brothers, the undisputed light middleweight champion Jermell Charlo.
In this exciting matchup, Jermell was not the original opponent. Instead, it was his twin brother, world middleweight champion Jermall, who was originally set to take this fight. But due to some issues outside the ring led to Jermall pulling out just to be replaced by his brother Jermell. In the Los Angeles press conference, Alvarez was asked about who is the better fighter among the Charlo twins. Alvarez sided with his now-present opponent Jermell, reasoning that he had faced a better level of opponents in his career.
Canelo will be looking forward to his fight against Jermell, where the Mexican boxer is set to defend his four super middleweight titles in that matchup.
