‘I can squeeze you in’- Chris Eubank Jr offers to save ‘clout chasing’ Jake Paul’s fight by stepping in for a fight
Jake Paul & Conor Benn
Chris Eubank Jr. offers to intervene in the fight between Jake Paul after his fight fell through with Hasim Rahman Jr. Despite being a more technical fighter than Hasim Rahman Jr. and Tommy Fury, Paul hasn’t been able to outlast either of them because of Tommy’s mobility problems. He hasn’t lost a game and has beaten some tough competition. Even though he only got professional in 2020, he has faced numerous MMA opponents. Since then, he has demonstrated promise and made great improvements.
Most likely, his significance is only partially understood right now. Conor McGregor, Mike Tyson, and Canelo Alvarez are some of the people he has challenged to fight. Here is a video uploaded by Jake on his youtube channel showcasing his strenuous training:
Chris Eubank jr and Conor Benn are currently negotiating the terms for the bout as per Eddie Hearn
The catchweight fight between Chris and Conor Benn scheduled for October 8 at London’s O2 Arena could reignite the Eubank-Benn feud.
Eddie Hearn, the matchroom promoter who oversees Benn’s career, claims that more haggling needs to be done before an agreement is reached for the welterweight to take on middleweight Eubank. Hearn has a contract with the streaming service DAZN, which would broadcast the fight.
Additionally, after it was revealed that his fight with Hasim Rahman Jr had been postponed, Chris Eubank Jr offered to take on YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake. Paul asserted that his opponent would not be hosting the event because he refused to lose weight to the fight’s agreed-upon limit.
He took to Twitter and stated the following, “Fumbles & Crumbles are not ‘boxers’ they are guys who put gloves on every now & again for clout… no different to you. I’m fighting in a couple months but I can squeeze you into my schedule next week & save your show if you have the heart to get into the ring with a REAL boxer.” Here is the said Tweet:
On August 6, a bout was set for Madison Square Garden, along with an undercard. Rahman was said to weigh a maximum of 200 pounds, but in recent weeks, Most Valuable Promotions, Paul’s promotional company, reported that Rahman had not come close to that weight.
