PFL MMA recently welcomed super Middleweight Boxing Champion Savannah Marshall. Marshall previously went head-to-head with Claressa Shields and experienced a decisive loss in October 2022. She has now inked a multi-year contract with PFL MMA.

Claressa Shield has proclaimed that the rematch between Shields and Marshall in MMA will be massive. She called it similar to Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. That is a very bold claim by Shields and it could have great significance for women’s combat sports. PFL already has other notable fighters like boxer Amanda Serrano and established MMA stars Kayla Harrison and Larissa Pacheco.

Conor McGregor vows to knockout Floyd Mayweather in a rematch

The Irishman posted on X (formerly Twitter) that he would knock out Floyd Mayweather in a rematch if it happened. McGregor’s comment came as a reply to a post comparing Claressa Shields to the undefeated boxer.

Conor McGregor said in the post that he would knockout Mayweather. He also praised Claressa Shields for having more power than Floyd Mayweather, while brutally trolling the latter. A rematch between the superstars is not in the works as of now.

Conor McGregor will be looking back to face Michael Chandler in early 2024. Mayweather has been fighting exhibition fights recently and is making a lot of money. If a rematch ever happens, the chances of it doing better than the first fight are very slim.
