“Gwoat Status”- middleweight boxing champion Claressa Shields gets a street named after her in her hometown

Claressa Shields is a professional boxer and also an MMA fighter. Claressa is among the top female boxers in the world and she is also the first female in the U.S. to win an Olympic gold medal. Sheilds is one of the most accomplished female fighter in the history of boxing and she is the only athlete in the four belt era to hold all four major world titles in boxing—WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO—simultaneously, in two weight classes.
Claressa started her boxing journey at 11 and has been training and boxing ever since. Claressa is the only women in U.S. history to win titles at the Olympics and Pan- American games. She won her first gold medal in the Olympics at 2012 London Olympics in the women’s middleweight division, and then she won again in 2016 summer Olympics in Rio.
Recently a street was renamed after Claressa is her hometown. Claressa belongs to Flint, a city in Michigan, U.S.A. and the street is where she grew up in her childhood. The street was earlier named Spencer Street, and the city gave it an honorary street name of Claressa Shields Street. The sign was unveiled during a block party ceremony on Juneteenth.

The reigning WBC, WBA and IBF middleweight champion Claressa Shields has made some bold claims through her twitter account recently. Claressa is surely among the top female fighters of the modern boxing era and she has claimed that she is currently the most accomplished female boxer around.
Claressa shared a post on her twitter handle which claimed that if P4P rankings would be based on accomplishments, Claressa would never be off the list. Shields shared the post and showed her agreement about the post. The post was from the boxing outlet Champside and was also shared by American basketball player Damian Lillard.
After sharing the post, shields backed up her claims and posted another tweet on her social media handle. She said: “Big UNDISPUTED not the Little one! Meaning I’m the ONLY 2x Undisputed champ in the 4 belt era! Y’all can hate all y’all want, but I’m the ONE !”
