“He has the Mickey Mouse belt” – Devin Haney mocks Gervonta Davis’ credibility as a champion as he accuses Davis of ducking him

The talks about the fight between Gervonta Davis and Devi Haney have been around for a very long time. Both the figgters cleary are not friends and always get into online trash talking with each other. Davis won the WBA (Regular) lightweight title last year and has successfully defended it twice. In recent memory, Davis beat Rolando Romero via TKO and kept his belt safe. The fighter has nothing lined up and has not spoken anything about his upcoming fight.
On the other hand, Haney , the newly crowned WBC super light weight champion is set to fight his mandatory rematch against George Kambosos Jr. in October.
But it seems like Haney doesn’t mind fighting Davis next as the rivalry has already passed that point.

In a recent interview with Thaboxingvoice, Devin Haney looked annoyed towards Gervonta Davis and revealed thier fight would have taken place a long time ago. Haney mentioned that he is ready to fight Davis anytime if the fighter is ready.
“The fight has been built up for years. At the end of the day, if he wants the fight, he can have the fight.”
Haney mocked Davis and called him a fake champion with a Mickey Mouse belt. According to Haney, if Davis wanted he could have called Gilberto Mendoza, the WBA President and asked for thr fight but he didn’t. Haney said:
“He’s the WBA fake champion. He has the Mickey Mouse belt. If he wanted to become my mandatory, he can become my mandatory. All he gotta do is go hit Gilberto and tell him ‘hey, we wanna make this fight happen’ and he can become the mandatory whenever he wants.”
Devin vs Davis fight is something the fight fans are actually excited to see and it has the potential to sell a huge pay-per-view event. However, it looks like the fight might take a lot of time until it finally gets materialized.
