“Proud of you brother”- Dillian Whyte lauds Derek Chisora’s recent triumph against Kubrat Pulev

Dillian Whyte congratulates Derek Chisora over his win against Kubrat Pulev. Chisora and Kubrat Pulev recently locked horns for the vacant WBA International heavyweight title. The fight was organised by Matchroom Boxing and was held at The O2 Arena, London, England on 9 July, 2022. Chisora came into the fight with the target to stop his three fight losing streak that started in 2020 against Oleksandr Usyk. Many thought this was going to be Chisora’s last fight before announcing the long coming retirement. On the other hand, Pulev looked confident after beating Jerry Forrest in his last bout. Before that the fighter lost to Anthony Joshua and failed to get his hands on the WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO heavyweight titles.
Two veterans were ready to go against each other again since the first time they met in 2016 in which Pulev was the winner. The fight was incredible and very entertaining for the fans who went to cheer their favourite fighters. After 12 rounds of continuous back and forth, Chisora was declared the winner via unanimous decision. Judges scored the fight 112-116, 116-112 and 116-114 in favour of Chisora.

After Chisora’s terrific win against Pulev, the whole boxing world was impressed and congratulated the fighter. Similarly, the former WBC interim heavyweight title holder took this opening to congratulate his former rival.
Whyte shared the official post by Matchroom Boxing on his Instagram story and mentioned he is extremely happy and proud of Chisora’s win.
” Welldone am proud of you brother proud @derekchisora,” wrote Whyte.
Whyte and Chisora go way back as both the fighters have shared the ring not once but twice. The pair first fought each other in 2016 in which Chisora challenged Whyte for the WBC International heavyweight title. The fight was very impressive and can be considered one of the best heavyweight bouts of this generation. Whyte won the fight via split decision and retained his title.
The pair clashed again in 2018 inside the The O2 Arena, London, England for the WBC Silver and WBO International heavyweight titles. This time, Whyte was more impressive and won the fight via brutal knockout.
