Logan Paul and Dillon Danis faced each other at their highly anticipated crossover boxing event on October 14. Their fight was the co-main event at the KSI vs. Tommy Fury Prime card at the AO Arena in Manchester, England. Furthermore, Danis has had a long, ongoing feud with the Paul brothers for several years now. Their feud began with a highly publicized altercation in November 2019 after Jake Paul defeated Danis’s teammate AnEsonGib.
Danis had talks of fighting Jake but later settled on fighting KSI and eventually controversially pulled out of the fight. Subsequently, Dillon Danis was again able to go up a fight against a celebrity boxer by targeting Logan. During the buildup of the fight, both fighters relentlessly attacked each other online by using trolls, which helped promote the event.
The fight ended with Danis being disqualified and delivering an underwhelming performance. In addition, his training partner and old friend Conor McGregor stated on X, “Proud of you, Dillon! You built that card tremendously and went out swinging! 4x Jiu Jitsu world champion with the bottle to go into pro boxing in front of the world.”
Danis performed underwhelmingly and lost the bout via a disqualification because of a chaotic brawl at the end of the fight. However, his old training partner, Conor McGregor has stated that he should be proud of himself because of the attention he brought to the fight.
McGregor is right because the co-main event and the controversial trolling helped promote the fight more than the main event. Subsequently, McGregor complimented Danis for his past achievements and his resilience to enter a boxing ring without any prior experience.
Fans react to Conor McGregor’s words for Dillon Danis
Fans were expecting a slugfest between Paul and Danis after the controversial buildup and the heated press conference moments. However, fans felt that the fight was disappointing compared to the way it was being promoted. Paul himself is not an extraordinary boxer, and Danis proved to pose absolutely no threat to Paul inside the ring.
Subsequently, Paul was able to easily dominate Danis across the fight and exact his revenge for targeting his fiancé. Hence, fans have been expressing their disappointment by trolling both fighters and even McGregor.
Furthermore, fans have been absolutely bashing Danis for his horrible performance against Paul by trolling him. It is ironic that Danis is now being subjected to trolling after the fight, and many people consider it karma. Subsequently, many people also trolled McGregor for trying to support his old teammate even after he performed horribly.
