Dmitry Bivol hopes to compete in a high-profile match against the winner of Artur Beterbiev vs. Callum Smith in his next fight following another successful title defense. Furthermore, Bivol has continued to put on outstanding performances and has gained the respect of both the media and the fans. This especially happened after Bivol became the second person ever to defeat Canelo Alvarez when they fought in 2022. After the massive upset, Bivol has been proving himself even more every time he enters a ring.

Recently, Dmitry Bivol improved his record by winning the IBO light heavyweight title and keeping the WBA light heavyweight title. This was after he defeated Lyndon Arthur via unanimous decision at the ‘Day of Reckoning’ event. Furthermore, Bivol was able to completely dominate Arthur with a flurry of punches, and Arthur could barely fight back. After his victory, Bivol spoke about his plans for the future and mentioned who he would like to fight next. Subsequently, Bivol stated

Dmitry Bivol has signed a two-fight deal

The WBA light heavyweight champion, Bivol, fought inside the ring after more than a year. Subsequently, in his return fight, Bivol was part of one of the most massive and stacked boxing fight cards. In addition, Bivol won the IBO light-heavyweight title with ease and added another win on December 23 against Arthur.

Hence, Bivol now holds the WBA and IBO light-heavyweight belts and is now gunning to become the undisputed light-heavyweight champion. Furthermore, Bivol has reportedly signed a two-fight deal with Saudi Arabia, the first of which was his fight with Arthur. Subsequently, Bivol patiently awaits his fight against the winner of the Beterbiev vs. Smith fight set for January 13.

In addition, unified light-heavyweight champion Beterbiev will be defending his titles against Smith. Regardless of the outcome, Bivol has set his eyes on the IBF, WBC, and WBO titles to become the undisputed light-heavyweight champion.
