On Thursday night, Drake made it public that he had placed a significant bet, totaling $850,000, on Logan Paul winning over Dillon Danis through a knockout in their upcoming boxing match scheduled for Saturday. Taking to Instagram, the rap icon posted a screenshot as confirmation of this substantial wager, which, if successful, could result in a substantial $1.3 million payout for him.

In the caption accompanying the Instagram post, Drake underlined the significance of not underestimating the impact of personal vendettas and the motivation to settle scores when engaging in betting activities. He wrote, “Never bet against personal vendetta and settling scores.” Conor McGregor swiftly reacted to Drake’s recent wager on Logan Paul, expressing his belief that Drake was making an ill-advised decision with his bet.

McGregor commented on Drake’s Instagram, “Dillon all day!”  Danis is well-known for being a jiu-jitsu champion, and his MMA background has a notable resume in combat sports. Interestingly, he has never ventured into the realm of boxing matches. Nonetheless, this unique situation has sparked the support of none other than ‘Mystic Mac’ himself.  McGregor, a long-time friend of Danis, has lent his vocal support in the most significant fight of Danis’s life.

It was surprising to see Drake betting against Danis, as the BJJ expert is a friend of Conor McGregor, and everybody knows about Drake’s relationship with the Irishman. Drake first collaborated with McGregor at the iconic UFC 229 event; their relationship has evolved since then. However, it seems the Canadian now wants to side with Paul.

Can Logan Paul outshine Jake’s loss to win big for Drake with fight against Dillon Danis?

Drake is particularly famous for his bets on sports. The rapper even started an urban myth of the ‘Drake Curse’ as a lot of fighters lost after the rapper bet on them. Previously, Drake bet $400k on Logan’s brother, Jake Paul, during his boxing bout with Tommy Fury earlier this year. In that fight, Paul lost to the Brit via unanimous decision, which broke his undefeated streak. After that, Jake made an online post and humbly apologized to Drake for his loss.

Logan will definitely look forward to avoiding that, as the bet amount is more than double what it was last time. Logan and Drake have known each other for some time now. The pair clicked together in London in 2021, and it seems like since then, they have maintained their relationship.

The last time Drake participated in such a big wager was during the UFC middleweight title fight between Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland. Drake put $850k on Adesanya and unfortunately lost, as Izzy, despite being a massive favorite, lost the bout via unanimous decision. It will be interesting to see if the rapper makes a comeback and wins, as he bets on the WWE superstar.
