“Better put on a T-shirt,” Ebanie Bridges fires back at trolls who overlook her boxing because of “putting her t*ts out”
Ebanie Bridges
As much as Ebanie Bridges is known for her boxing skills in the world of women’s boxing, surprisingly or not so as unpredictable as the internet world is, she is also equally getting known for getting sexualised as well. Bridges is an Australian boxer hailing from Sydney, Australia who is currently 8-1 as a boxer with 3 wins via knockouts and is currently the IBF female bantamweight champion of the world.
Bridges is also known for a pretty impressive amateur career with a record of 26-4, in it winning the Australasian Golden Gloves back to back in the year 2016 and 2017 in Brisbane at the bantamweight category. Bridges made her professional debut in 2019. Before boxing, Bridges was involved in combat sports like Karate, Kickboxing and Muay Thai. She also did competitive bodybuilding in which she won numerous titles at regional and state levels.

Ebanie Bridges’ boxing credentials aren’t enough for some people to accept it as the sole cause of her success
In a Twitter rant recently, Ebanie Bridges went on at Twitter louts that claim the boxing champ of getting ‘naked’ during the weigh-ins due to her aesthetic physique, also referring to past remarks from old rival Shannon Courtenay.
“I can’t believe people are still complaining & trying to defame me by talking about my looks & that I apparently get ‘naked’, guys, that’s so Shanny 2020 get with the times peeps. My boxing has done the talking, I’m the IBF world champion & I didn’t do it naked,” she wrote.
She then replied to a fan who suggested trolls were only jealous of her looks, saying: “Lol I get my t*ts out cos I wear a bikini in the pool hahaha soz guys I should know, if ur bigger than a A-B cup better put a T-shirt on incase u upset people.” [h/t Daily Star]
What do you make of Ebanie Bridges getting sharply sarcastic to react to her getting defamed? Do you feel sexualizing a women’s body during her athletic performances has become a much more common evil than ever before? Do you think women pursuing professions earlier dominated by men has called for a vicious backlash time and again and therefore will be a never-ending phenomenon?
