“Just heard it’s Tommy Fury”- Eddie Hearn reveals Jake Paul is set to fight ‘TNT’ in August

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed that Tommy Fury will fight Jake Paul on August 13. Jake Paul was supposed to fight on August 13, but the opponent was not revealed. Jake Paul is currently one of the biggest personalities in boxing and has earned tremendous fame and wealth in boxing. He was named on the list of the highest-paid athletes in 2022 by Forbes, along with players like Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James and Canelo Alvarez.
Jake turned to pro boxing in 2020 against YouTuber AnEson Gib. The fight ended in Jake’s favour after jake knocked Ali to win the match via TKO in the first round. Jake has an undefeated career in boxing and has fought MMA fighters, Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley. he has a professional record of 5 wins and 0 losses. Jake would have fought again on August 13, but no opponent was confirmed by the boxer.
In a recent interview, Eddie Hearn talked about Jake’s opponent for the August 13 fight. Eddie has confirmed the rumours that Jake will finally face Tommy Fury on August 13. Eddie told: ” I just you know he’s fighting August 13th and I’ve just heard its Tommy fury. I’m sure nothing’s official, but yeah”
Jake was supposed to fight Tommy Fury in December last year. However, the fight was cancelled when Tommy pulled out of the fight after a rib injury.

Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk fought each other on 25 September 2021 for the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles. Oleksandr Usyk dominated Anthony Joshua and showed superior boxing skills throughout the match. The fight was decided by judges after both fighters failed to finish each other. The Judges scored the fight 117–112, 116–112, 115–113 in favour of Usyk and Usyk became only the third boxer in history–after Evander Holyfield and David Haye–to win the world titles both at cruiserweight and heavyweight.
Since the fight, Anthony Joshua has been looking for his revenge against Oleksander and fight promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed that the fight will be announced soon. Eddie, in an interview with talkSPORT, told that the fight will be confirmed by the next week, however, it can be pushed back to August 20.
Eddie said: “Everyone is on board. We’re right on the brink now of signing all the paperwork. It is likely you will see a two or three-week delay for that fight to land in August.”
The fight has already been delayed because of the war Usyk’s home country is facing. Oleksandr is in Ukraine with the rest of his team and is volunteering in the military to support this homeland.
