“Stick to acting brother”- Euphoria star Javon Walton leaves fans disappointed after underwhelming boxing debut
The actor Javon “Wanna” Walton fought at Jake Paul's recent fight card, but his performance has caused him to receive backlash from fans

Euphoria’s Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton’s recent fight turned out to be a disappointing performance. Walton fought Joshua Torres at Jake Paul‘s card of Most Valuable Promotion’s first-ever Puerto Rican event. The card took place on March 2nd at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan. Walton is mainly known for his role in the television series, Euphoria. He played the character of Ashtray, a young drug dealer associated with the character, Fezco. However, Walton has shifted his focus from his acting career and instead decided to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a boxer.
As such, the 17-year-old slugged it out with Torres, and the fight ended with a disappointing draw. Furthermore, the fight was scored 38-38 by two judges and 39-37 by the third, according to reports. Subsequently, the crowd booed the fighters after their fight because of their lackluster performance and many people considered the same for Paul’s fight. At the post-fight press conference, Walton spoke about his fight and stated
My opponent gave me a good fight. I personally think that I took this one, but the decision is what it is.

Walton revealed that he could have approached the fight with different tactics and is unhappy for not following his initial strategy. Furthermore, Walton stated that he did not use his jab efficiently. The young fighter has a long way to go considering he is only 17.
However, even though Walton was not satisfied with his performance, he believed that he did enough to secure his victory. Subsequently, Walton stated that he had to respect the judges’ decision and appreciated the opportunity to fight in the spotlight.
Fans react to Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton’s fight
Walton signed with boxing promotion company MVP last year. The company was co-founded by celebrity boxer, Paul and pro boxer Nakisa Bidarian. Walton has been working with MVP for the past year on event marketing, content strategy, and brand awareness for his fights.
At the time, Walton revealed that he was excited to join Paul’s team and stated that MVP makes him feel like part of the family. While Walton has been training with a lot of dedication, his fight disappointed boxing fans. As such, fans reacted to the fight by stating, “Stick to acting brother”

Fans trolled Walton, stating that he should have continued his career as an actor instead of trying boxing. Furthermore, fans remarked about how Walton needs a lot of training and that his boxing skills are still rough. Fans also stated that, as a 17-year-old, he should not be matched up with guys significantly older than him.
