“Black fighter in USA gets booed” – Boxing fans erupt after witnessing worst decision in history to favor Devin Haney against Vasiliy Lomachenko

Devin Haney fought Vasiliy Lomachenko to defend his undisputed lightweight championship. The much-anticipated fight drew much attention due to the respective fighters’ techniques and storylines outside the ring. In an unexpected turn of events, the PPV disappointed boxing fans after the result favored Haney over Lomachenko.

The fight between Vasiliy Lomachenko and Devin Haney was a technical battle. The bout lasted twelve rounds, and ‘The Dream’ emerged victorious unanimously. The crowd in attendance was unhappy as they perceived ‘Loma’ as the fight’s winner. The event became controversial due to the nature of how the judges scored the contest.

During the earlier rounds, Devin Haney dominated the fight. However, Vasiliy Lomachenko outpointed his opponent in the later rounds after a slow start. The brutal response of the audience in attendance differed on social media. Boxing fans took to Twitter to express their anger at the judges’ decision. Although most fans were on the Ukrainian fighter’s side, a vocal minority agreed with the decision. One fan tweeted, “It’s amazing a black fighter in the USA still gets booed on his home turf vs a foreign fighter.. if this fight would have happened in the Ukraine no one would have booed Loma.. #DevinHaney.. Vasiliy Lomachenko vs. Devin Haney will enter the history books for one of the most controversial decisions in boxing. Fans referred to the fight as one of the worst decisions in boxing history. Twitter went rogue since the judges denied the Ukrainian fighter an undisputed championship. Lomachenko is known to have a vast and dedicated fanbase that fully supports the fighter.
