Francis Ngannou, a former UFC heavyweight champion, is becoming more assured in preparation for his next fight with Tyson Fury, the current WBC heavyweight champion. 

The pair square off on October 28 in Saudi Arabia, with no involvement in the heavyweight titles. Ten rounds of conventional boxing rules will be used to determine the winner of the fight.  Ahead of the fight, Ngannou mentioned in an interview with Sky Sports News that he is well aware of the challenge Tyson Fury possesses and that he’s ready for it.

Francis Ngannou said, “I know it’s going to be very challenging for me. I don’t think I will be frustrated because I’m not going there just expecting to hit him easily. I know it’s going to be tough, it might even be tougher for me than for him, which is the case because he has a lot of experience.”

“But being intimidated by him, no I’m not intimidated by him and I’m not intimidated by anybody,” he added.  According to the veteran MMA fighter, he’s working hard on his ‘biggest weapon’ and would like to unleash it at the perfect time.

Mike Tyson believes Francis Ngannou will be the toughest challenge of Tyson Fury

Ngannou kept his word by bringing Mike Tyson to his training camp ahead of the much-anticipated fight with Tyson Fury. The pair shared their first training session together, of which Ngannou posted pictures on social media. Apart from that, both Tyson and Ngannou did an interview with ESPN in which the legendary boxer revealed that the fight is going to be a very competitive one.

He said: “Working with him yesterday, he has the aptitude, and I see a good future in this life. It’s not going to be as one-sided as people think it is… But, we’re going to work and we’re going to exert everything he has for this particular match. I definitely believe that it’s going to be a tougher fight than anyone thinks.”

According to ‘IronMike’, Ngannou will give Fury a lot of challenges, and it’s definitely not going to be as easy as many fight fans and experts are thinking it will be.
