Since his debut in the MLS, Lionel Messi has attracted many popular celebrities to come and watch him play. Undisputed boxing champion Floyd Mayweather became the latest addition to this list of celebrities. Messi has attracted many stars since his transfer to Inter Miami after leaving Paris Saint-Germain. Even celebrities such as FIFA President Gianni Infantino attended the match.

Mayweather met with baseball legend Ken Griffey Jr. and posed for a photo with him. Even though Messi has dominated Major League Soccer since his debut in America, Inter Miami drew the game against Nashville. This resulted in a halt to their nine-match winning streak. Mayweather was seen enjoying the atmosphere of the DRV Pink stadium.

Messi joined Inter Miami in July 2023 and has thrived at the American club. He has scored eleven goals in just nine games. The game that Mayweather attended against Nashville became the first match that the Argentinian did not score in. There were also multiple rumors of Mayweather buying English club Newcastle United. Mayweather also spoke about his interest in buying the club.
