“Ain’t gonna wake up until next year,” Floyd Mayweather backs Gervonta Davis to knock out Ryan Garcia as he dismisses Garcia’s boxing credentials
Floyd Mayweather doesn't think Ryan Garcia can survive being hit by Gervonta Davis in their upcoming fight.

One of the most anticipated boxing bouts is undoubtedly the lightweight fight between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis. Both the fighters dislike each other and the rivalry has been there for some time now. After years of back and forth, Davis and Garcia will finally meet each other inside the ring on April 22 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The fight has attracted a lot of attention from fight fans and experts have already given their take on the fight. Similarly, legendary boxer, Floyd Mayweather also made a comment about the fight. Davis previously revealed that for the upcoming Garcia fight he’s back in the gym with Mayweather for his training camp.
In a recent interview with FightHype.com, Mayweather talked about how Ryan Garcia doesn’t belong to the same caliber as Davis. Mayweather also mentioned that he’s training Davis to be in his best shape and he will knock Garcia with ease.
He said: “Ryan hasn’t won a title yet. We don’t talk about no interim belt – that don’t count. And we not taking nothing away from the guy, Fortuna, but he was just an opponent. I’m gonna have Tank in the best shape of his life, and just know, when he hit that boy, he ain’t gonna wake up until next year.”
Mayweather looks extremely confident about Davis’s training camp and conditioning. It will be interesting to see what the fighter tends to bring into the fight next month.

Garcia is one of the most popular fighters out there and has a great online presence. He’s undefeated in 23 professional fights and it was about time for him to step up his game.
Ryan did exactly the same and called out Gervonta Davis for a fight. For Garcia, it is one of the most important opportunities of his career as a win against Davis will propel him to another level. In a recent interview with InsideFighting, Garcia revealed that he was going to beat Davis and take everything from the fighter.
He said: “I’m ready for him, I’m gonna beat him, imma take everything from him. We just put everything out there because point blank period, you’re a p***sy.”
While Davis has much better experience in fighting tough challenges, he can’t be taking Garcia casually. The 24-year-old is known for his speed and knockout power which can be lethal against Davis.
